Strategy
My work at Haymarket Media Group gave me an holistic skillset encompassing more than just editorial. For starters, I was intrinsically involved in winning new client business for Haymarket's content marketing arm, Wonderly, delivering notable contracts with the CIPD, CIPS, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and more over the past few years.
As a senior editorial leader in the business, I was central to setting the strategy for our media brands, moving them from a reliance on print to a data-driven digital future in which they reach the right audiences across web, podcasts and video. I led editorial teams through these changes and developed brands to flourish in a changing media landscape.
I also held full oversight and responsibility for the Management Today brand as business director, which saw me shape audience and commercial strategy, ensure the brand's financial performance, introduce new awards and events and revamp marketing and data efforts.
I've put this experience to good use, working on a consultancy basis with a major global B2B media brand owner to improve the relevance of their subscriptions marketing, bringing editorial and marketing teams closer together and developing a significant new programme of marketing emails and social communications that brings content to the fore and speaks to audiences' needs.
